How does ConsumerDirect work?A health plan is combined with a savings vehicleA ConsumerDirect HSA can only be combined with a qualified High Deductible Health Plan. A ConsumerDirect HRA can be combined with an HDHP or another type of health plan. Employees are responsible for paying most medical costs incurred before the deductible is reached. Expenses paid out of the HSA or HRA may count towards the deductible. You have a choice of high-quality health plansOur HSA-compatible plans include a PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) HDHP and an EPO (Exclusive Provider Organization) HDHP. The HRA-compatible plans also include PPO and EPO HDHPs. PPO plans feature in- and out-of-network benefits. EPO plans feature in-network benefits. Select an HSA custodian or HRA partnerOur preferred HSA partner is First HSA. You can also select any qualified custodian for the HSA or HRA portion of your ConsumerDirect solution.
