What is a ConsumerDirect HRA?

A ConsumerDirect HRA has three components

ConsumerDirect solutions are designed to help companies and individuals control the cost of health care. A ConsumerDirect HRA combines a high-quality health plan, a Health Reimbursement Arrangement, and a comprehensive health and wellness program.

High Deductible Health Plan

ConsumerDirect High Deductible Health Plans (HDHPs) typically exchange a higher deductible for lower premiums than many traditional health plans. We offer both PPO and EPO High Deductible Health Plans. You can choose the plan type and deductible. HRA funding vehicles can also be combined with other types of health plans.

Health Reimbursement Arrangements are employer-funded accounts. Contributions are excludable from the employee's gross income and generally tax-deductible to the company. Employees can use their HRA funds for any IRS-qualified medical expenses that are defined as eligible in the Summary Plan Document.
