Why is a ConsumerDirect HSA important?

ConsumerDirect HSA plans are growing in popularity with companies of all sizes. They provide an affordable health plan option with more control for employees. A qualified High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) is combined with a Health Savings Account (HSA). An HDHP exchanges a higher deductible for a lower premium cost.

Employees have more choices

 

Employees can choose from any of the providers and services covered by your plan. Our National Provider Network includes more than half the "Top Docs" from New York Magazine's list, and virtually every acute care hospital in the region—great hospitals like Memorial Sloan-Kettering, Montefiore Medical Center, Lenox Hill Hospital, North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, and Albany Medical Center.

Employees have more control

 

Employees decide when to use funds in their Health Savings Account to pay for certain medical expenses before their deductible is satisfied. Funds withdrawn from their HSA are tax-free as long as they are used for IRS-qualified medical expenses. They can also pay out-of-pocket and allow their HSA to continue growing tax-free year after year. State taxes may vary.

ConsumerDirect HSA rewards healthy lifestyles

 

Members pay no out-of-pocket costs for covered preventive care in-network, including routine physicals, screenings, immunizations, mammograms, gynecological exams and well-baby care. These services are not subject to the plan's deductible.
