An HDHP generally exchanges a higher deductible for lower premiums. EmblemHealth offers two types of HDHPs that work with a ConsumerDirect HSA solution. A PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) HDHP offers in- and out-of-network benefits. An EPO (Exclusive Provider Organization) HDHP offers in-network benefits.

You have more choices

You can choose from any of the providers and services covered by your plan. Our National Provider Network includes more than half the "Top Docs" from New York Magazine's list, and virtually every acute care hospital in the region—great hospitals like Memorial Sloan-Kettering, Montefiore Medical Center, Lenox Hill Hospital, North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, and Albany Medical Center.

You have more control

You decide when to use funds in your Health Savings Account to pay for certain medical expenses before your deductible is satisfied. Funds withdrawn from your HSA are tax-free as long as they are used for IRS-qualified medical expenses. You can also pay out-of-pocket and allow your HSA to continue growing tax-free year after year. State taxes may vary.

Our HSA plans include preventive care

Members pay no out-of-pocket costs for covered preventive care in-network, including routine physicals, screenings, immunizations, mammograms, gynecological exams and well-baby care. These services are not subject to the plan's deductible.
